CONCEPT

Assessment/Analyses

Achieve success with proven measurement methods
Our approach is based on the principle: “accepted processes follow simple rules.” This philosophy has proven effective in our many years of consulting experience. In the assessments, we not only look at whether the evaluation criteria are met, but also provide valuable information for optimization. Our analyses go in depth and provide valuable insights that contribute specifically to improvement. All of our assessors and analysts have many years of experience in the automotive industry and are very familiar with typical challenges.
WHICH MEASUREMENT TO CARRY OUT:
Automotive SPICE Assessment
Although traditional measurement is complex, it provides the best data for improvements. It makes both interface and organizational problems visible.

We assess the development processes of a project (capability level) and/or an organizational unit (maturity level).

Automotive SPICE assessments are recognized.
ASPICE potential analysis
The new measurement enables quick orientation by checking the most important areas within just 2 days.

In doing so, valuable data is collected for improvement. For a more detailed analysis, however, individual areas must be specifically considered again.

ASPICE potential analyses are recognized.
ASPICE Deep Dive
An ASPICE Deep Dive is a detailed, in-depth analysis of specifically selected process areas that have been coordinated beforehand or prove to be particularly critical during the evaluation. This method aims not only to identify surface problems, but also to uncover underlying causes and potential improvements. Extensive, precise data is collected and analyzed to enable fact-based and targeted optimization of processes. The Deep Dive thus provides a comprehensive basis for sustainable improvements in process maturity and quality assurance.
Safety und ASPICE Extension Analysen
Den Nachweis für Funktionale Sicherheit wird durch unsere Experten von Anfang an geplant, begleitet, überwacht und letztendlich durch objektive Audits und Assessments sichergestellt.

The ASPICE extensions can be combined with an Automotive SPICE Assessment or carried out individually. The extensions provide valuable data for improvement in

ASPICE extensions are recognized.

Innovative questioning technology for sustainable increases in quality and efficiency

We ask about what's available
Knüvener Mackert's assessors use your development process as a basis and ask specific questions along this process. We will incorporate your answers into the evaluation scheme. We check if something is missing, or approach a question from different perspectives. Our analysts dig deep into the matter and look for the cause. With us, you don't have to worry that your work results will go undetected.
With us, you learn in an interview
During measurement, Knüvener Mackert's questioning technique explains what is important and where possible process improvements lie. Of course, we summarize the topics identified in a report, but our interview participants always have the good feeling that they receive added value even during the measurement.
We are well known in the market
Knüvener Mackert's reviews have an excellent reputation and are recognized by both automotive manufacturers and suppliers. Improvement programs in collaboration with Knüvener Mackert are highly regarded. Benefit from our advantage.

Assessment results

Final presentation
Whether it's an assessment or an analysis, at the end of our measurement, we summarize the core topics in a final presentation and inform all project participants about the strengths and potential for improvement of their processes. We offer comprehensive insight into the effectiveness of both newly introduced and long-established processes and identify areas where improvements possible and necessary are. We provide you with the common thread for improvement while always keeping an eye on the big picture.
final report
The final report, which is prepared in addition to the final presentation, serves as a solid basis for targeted process improvement. It provides management with a precise profile of strengths and weaknesses, which is used to derive suitable concepts and measures in workshops. Our experienced team of consultants from Knüvener Mackert will provide you with intensive support in implementing these measures to make your processes even more effective and efficient.
Optional: transparency with external customers
Depending on the client's specific requirements, the assessment report or analysis report can also be presented to external customers. This report contains detailed information about the individual processes, which comprehensively describes the performance of your development processes and thus makes it transparent.
KM Assessment Process 4.1

Assessment process

1st step

planning phase

Set goals: Together with the sponsor (client), the specific objectives of the assessment are determined. These can be focused either on process improvement or on the risk assessment of the product.

Make preparations: In collaboration with a local coordinator, the process owners are identified, the interview plan is drawn up and the required space is reserved.
2nd step

Carrying out the assessment

Kick-off meeting: The assessment starts with a kick-off meeting to bring everyone involved up to date and define the framework of the assessment.

Interviews: Process owners present the competence of their processes through objective evidence in interviews. The team of auditors documents the results, evaluates the processes according to their basic and generic practices and clarifies outstanding issues in a final post-interview.Focus on processes: Throughout the assessment, the focus is on evaluating the processes without blaming those involved.
3rd step

reporting

Assessment report: The documented results are systematically presented in the assessment report in the weeks following the interviews. The report is reviewed by the senior assessor and then handed over to the sponsor.

Assessment log: The log serves as proof for assessors of their experience and is necessary for their (re) certification as Competent or Principal Assessor with the VDA. The results of the assessment remain confidential and are made available exclusively to the sponsor.

ASSESSMENT PREPARATION

Knüvener Mackert makes you ready for an assessment or any other measurement

The 1×1 of preparation
Together with you, we create a storybook that summarizes the most important documents and statements on typical issues. While an assessment or other measurement isn't a game, the storybook offers the following benefits:
No unnecessary nervousness for the interviewee
No need for a long search for documents or evidence
Examples are available when requested by the assessor
No important topic is overlooked
The do's and don'ts
We will inform you about typical mistakes during an assessment and give you helpful tips for successful implementation.

Regardless of whether the measurement is carried out onsite or remotely, there are always special features that can disrupt or optimize the process.

Knüvener Mackert has already carried out countless measurements and knows these topics inside and out.

With good preparation, the tension subsides very quickly, so that the evidence can be presented confidently and understandably in the interviews.
